Susan Haversat is the HR Specialist at the Island Institute. In this role, she performs the administrative human resources duties and plays a key role in the organization’s recruiting and hiring process.

Susan has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Keene State College. She has worked in HR for many years and spent much of her career serving as the HR Director for Outside TV. Also, she and her husband owned The Daily Fix, a coffee shop in Portland, Maine.

Susan grew up around New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, and later moved to Portland, Oregon. She currently lives on a lake in Windham with her husband and her dog. She loves the outdoors and spends her free time hiking and trail running—she once even ran a 100-mile trail race!
