How do I update my address information?

Thank you for asking! If you’ve moved, have a new address, or need to update the seasonal dates on your address, you can send updated address information to our Membership Coordinator by emailing membership@islandinstitute.org

I want to give via an ACH / Electronic Funds Transfer. Where do I direct the funds? 

To make a gift via an automated clearing house (ACH) or electronic funds-transfer system, please send us an email to give us a heads up and then direct your gift to:

I need to change my credit card on my recurring donation 

The simplest way to update your information is to start a new recurring donation here.

You can also now update your own recurring donation preferences, including your credit card information, by signing in to our payment processing system Classy via the following link: https://www.classy.org/profile/70511/edit-recurring-donation. You may be prompted to create an account.

*Note: Please do not use email to send us your credit card information via email. Instead, we recommend using the more secure link above or, if you prefer, contacting us by phone at 207-747-1180.

 

How long does my Membership last? 

Membership lasts one year from your most recent donation. We will send you a reminder email before your membership ends. If you are not sure when your last donation was and would like to know, you can email our Membership Coordinator at membership@islandinstitute.org or call 207-747-1180 and leave us a message. We will get back to you as soon as possible! 

 

HOW do I renew my membership?

You can renew your membership by making any one-time donation of $25 or more, or by establishing a monthly recurring donation. You can also visit our membership page to learn more about our member benefits and levels.  

 

How can I get current updates & information?

We send out a variety of regular communications via email. If we don’t have your up-to-date email address, you might not be hearing from us! 

Our communications include: 

  • Weekly news from The Working Waterfront newspaper.
  • A monthly Island Institute newsletter with updates on our work in climate action, leadership, and building resilient communities along the coast of Maine.
  • Store and product updates from Archipelago, a program of Island Institute that supports Maine’s creative economy through in-store and online sales.

How do I change my email preferences?

If you like to receive fewer emails, or wish to opt out of mass email communication altogether, go to a recent email you have received from Island Institute and scroll down to “manage my preferences”—or contact membership@islandinstitute.org for help.
