About the Event:
The Town of Stonington is proud to return with a new season of its Talk of the Towns civic conversations in partnership with the Island Institute. The second year will include five public conversations on issues that bridge, matter to, and unite our regional communities, and kicks off Wednesday, October 9 from 6 – 8 p.m. with former Maine State Economist Charlie Colgan.
Speakers:
- Charlie Colgan, Professor Emeritus of Public Policy & Planning in the Muskie School of Public Service at the University of Southern Maine, Director of Research for the Center for the Blue Economy at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies
- Jim Damicis, Senior Vice President for Camoin Associates
Event Information:
The free evening opens at 6 pm in the Stonington Opera House lobby with special snacks, beverages, and a chance for everyone attending to mingle and talk informally with invited special guests and neighbors old and new.
Additional dates for the second year of the Talk of the Towns series, with topics to be announced, include December 11, 2024, and in 2025 January 29, March 12 and April 9.
