Growing up surrounded by the rich traditions of the lobster fishing community, Virginia learned the in’s and out’s of the trade from her family and husband, all of whom instilled in her a profound respect for the ocean and its resources. Beyond fishing, she is employed by District 4 of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, actively participating in local, state, and federal fishing initiatives and advocating for Maine lobstermen
