Impact and Event Specialist

At Island Institute, Emma serves as the Impact and Event Specialist, where she plays a key role in managing impact reporting and overseeing the administration of the Glenn Fund Community Impact grants and scholarships. Her work ensures that our funding creates meaningful change in communities. Emma also leads the planning and execution of all Island Institute events, from strategic development to maximizing engagement and impact. She is part of the Program Impact Team.

Emma graduated from University of Vermont with a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, and after earning her degree, she worked for the City of Portland’s Sustainability Office as a City Sustainability Fellow where she implemented programs and initiatives tied to the city’s climate action plan.

Emma was born, raised, and educated in Vermont, and later moved to Maine. She lives with her partner in Owls Head, and enjoys spending time outdoors—sailing, gardening, and going on walks with her dog Arlo.
