Lisa is part of Island Institute’s Center for Sustainable Communities. As a Senior Community Development Officer, Lisa serves as project lead for the Fellows team–overseeing recruiting and supporting the Island Fellows.
Prior to this role, Lisa served as a Community Development Offerer as a member of the Business Resilience team, providing project management and community engagement support to the Clean Energy and Sea Level Rise teams.
Before joining the Island Institute, she worked in organic agriculture, as the head seed grower for a biodynamic seed company in upstate New York. She moved to Maine in the fall of 2017 to be closer to family and friends and reconnect with her roots. In her free time, Lisa enjoys exploring the area with her friends and their dogs, practicing yoga, and drinking copious amounts of tea. A lover of raw oysters, she couldn’t be more psyched to live on the coast of Maine!
